Snorkeling with a sea turtle in the clear Caribbean waters of Tobago

World-Class Reefs at Your Doorstep

Tobago is home to some of the best snorkeling in the entire Caribbean. The island sits at the confluence of Atlantic and Caribbean currents, creating an extraordinary abundance of marine life — sea turtles, eagle rays, tropical fish, and the world-famous Buccoo Reef.

Mt Irvine Reef — Great for beginners, frequented by squid and parrotfish.
Arnos Vale Reef — More advanced snorkeling, best done with a guide.
Charlottesville — Pirates Bay and Lovers Bay offer spectacular off-the-beaten-path snorkeling.
Lovers Bay — Full of life with a large seafan forest.

Surf Tobago's Consistent Breaks

Tobago is one of the Caribbean's best-kept surfing secrets. The island's exposed northern and western coasts receive consistent Atlantic swell from October through March, while the southern beaches offer gentler waves year-round — perfect for learning.

Mount Irvine Bay — Tobago's main surf break. Consistent right-handers, great for intermediates.
Lefts — A left-hand point break that works on the same swell as Mt Irvine, slightly smaller and soft.
Minister Bay "Crazys" — A powerful beach break on the Atlantic side of Tobago.
